Avoid painkillers when treating chronic primary pain

The UK National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) has recommended to avoid painkillers when treating chronic primary pain. This is pain that is lasting more than 3 months and has no clear origin. NICE recommends instead a person centered approach which includes physical exercise and psychotherapy.
